Bellial Darshan is an artist, cook and writer. He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from the San Francisco Art Institute (SFAI), SF, CA.
Born in New York, Bellial joined the military one week after graduating from high school. He served an honorable three years working with a military intelligence unit in Panama, Central America between the ages of 17 to 19. There, he also worked on his art, familiarizing himself with many local, Panamanian artists. While at college (SFAI), he studied with Kathy Acker, Lydia Lunch, Doug Hall, Tony Labat, Sharon Grace, Thyrza Goodeve, Irene Pijoan, among other credited and well established artists. He also lived in and studied abroad in London, Paris, Brussels, Amsterdam and Berlin.
After receiving his Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree, Bellial remained in San Francisco working with a number of musicians, DJs, visual artists, charity organizations, publications, video and performance artists such as Voice Farm, Sister Spit, Phatima Rude, Lulu, Museo Contempo, The Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, The Hole In The Wall Saloon, The SF Eagle, San Francisco AIDS Foundation, Frontiers, QSF & Passport Magazines, among many others.
Bellial moved to Seattle, Washington in the year 2000, worked for Seattle Gay News, DJ'd at The Seattle Eagle, strongly supported the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence and continues to make art, supports other artists and is studying culinary skills to this day. He continues to support the arts and the Sisters.
